Loki nodded to Marley, burying the remains of the mouse with a quick swift of her paw. She started walking, slipping her head, then her body, out of the entrance. Loki started trotting, tail hight in the air. "C'mon Marley!" she called back to him.
[Time skip? xD]
Loki trotted through the parking lot, the heat burning her pads. "On our way back, we'll hunt. It looks like there's plently of prey to go around for everyone in the gang." She motioned to the seagulls pecking at the ground. Loki turned away from the birds and walked up to the ivisible border, stepping over it and sitting on the pavement.

Marley was following the Lead Thug not too far behind, trotting lightly so he didn't burn his paw pads.
"Yeah, yeah. . .!" he nodded quickly, "Look, Loki, I got something to tell you."
He took a deep breath, and meowed quietly.
"I. . . I'm starting to fall---"
He froze in mid-sentence when the Seagulls at the other side of the parking lot seemed startled suddenly and they flapped their wings as fast as they could to get into the air. Besides the sound of their ruffled feathers, it was silent.
"Loki. . . LOKI MOVE!" he started out meowing quietly, then broke into a screech, tackling his Leader just as a blur of white flew straight at them.
Since he did so, he took the other cat's attack full force. The Stranger almost clawed his eye right out of his eye-socket, but Marley managed to pull away. He was fortunate enough to get away with his eye badly scarred, and he knew he'd never be able to see out of that eye again.
He got in a few swipes, but knew that he didn't land any good ones. So he leaped back, intentionally trying to push Loki clear out of the way. This cat was dead!
Then, with his one good eye, he saw the blurry white shape advance toward him. When it was close enough, Marley could make out the dainty-but-hardened features of The Tainted's Lead Thug's face.
Scared but determined to protect his leader, Marley snarled and bared his fangs with a hiss. He had never seen the Chick before, but he had heard horror stories about what happened to the cats that crossed her borders. And now he was fighting her? Oh, Great Fallen Ancestors!
But the Chick sat down, giving a small grin and she started to lick the bloody eye-fluid off of her paws. Then her gaze hardened as she stared at the two newcomers.
"Well, peace to you, Loki and. . . Loki's baby-daddy." she purred, knowing that this would make them hostile. "Tell me, what reason do you have to be over the Border?"

Loki looked back at Marley, her ears swivling back and fourth. She looked with rounded eyes and smiled. "Yes, well, spit it out!" she meowed, a purr slightly in her voice. She curled her tail over her back, and then flattened it back down behind her, letting it snake behind her hide. Her ears flattened as Marley had gotten tense, whispering her name.
What? Before Loki could ask that, she ws tackled by Marley, tossed aside from the Brute. Before she could hiss at him, she finally noticed the danger she had just been in. He saved me! Loki's ears flattened as Mau slashed Marley's eye. By then, the battle stopped just as fast as it had started. "Mau!" Loki hollered at the Chick.
Loki stood up from the pavement, small black pebbles sticking in her white fur. Not bothering to pluck them out, she stomped in front of Marley, nudging him back with her tail. She bared her teeth, neck fur bristling. "Do you think I'm stupid enough to cross the border without a perfectly good reason!?" the Chick hissed at her sister, fur bristling. "I wanted to talk to you about the gangs. I wanted to try to make peace between The Tainted and The Pure. Why'd you even decide to divide the cats up? Mother would surely have disapproved." Loki snarled, back arched.

Marley's fur bristled to twice its size, but when Loki pushed him back, he moved. Then he flopped down onto the pavement and started to gasp from the indescribable pain in his eye. Glaring with the one good eye he had open, Marley snarled with the good side of his face. He refused to pass out.
Mau's icy gaze turned hot like fire at Loki's words, and she chuckled.
"Funny you ask that. Of course I think you're stupid." she flicked her tail as she purred this. "Oh, Loki. You silly sister of mine."
She dropped the happy tone and her voice gave into a low growl.
"Mother was a mindless follower. She didn't know how to lead a city. I do." she snarled. "Why make peace now, sister? You didn't want to make peace when I voiced my problems with the world to you. You and Gregory and Flint just teased me."

Loki's spine fur bristled and she fluffed out her tail. Her eyes filled with rage as Mau spoke, chuckling at every word. Loki shook her head, backing up a step or so. She forced her fur flat, but glared back up at Mau, her multi-colored eyes unblinking. "Mother wasn't a mindless flower," she started, her voice low.
"Why do you think she was made Queen is she was a mindless follower? She was a proud and true leader, unlike you." Loki spat. She kneaded the ground with sharp claws, not like her claws could pierce the parking lot grounds. It made a soft screeching sound. Loki twisted her head back, turning her back on her sister and walking back to her side of the border.
Turning back to Mau, she stood next to Marley. "You went crazy by then. Father died. That was it. The world isn't that scary, you know. If you just relax, you can see it can really be quite peaceful. We teased you because you were acting crazy, and you knew it. When you've got some sense in that empty head of yours, come back and talk to me." Loki voiced. She leaned toward Marley, supporting his weight. "I'm disgusted to even call you my sister," Turning to speak to Marley, she added, "Let's get out of here."

Mau's claws popped out and scraped the pavement.
"I don't need you. Get the hell away from my territory. Next time I see The Pure on or near my side of the border, I will kill them. Weather they're twenty Seasons old or just kits. I will kill them. This I promise." She growled softly.
Backing up slowly until she was next to the McDonald's dumpster, Mau gave a twisted smile.
"Mark my words, dear sister, I will destroy The Pure. This means war. . ."
She meowed the last part in a twisted cheeriness, and was then swallowed up in the shadows.
Marley followed Loki slowly.
"Tha. . . Thank you. . ." he meowed softly. "I was going to tell you. . . Before. . . Before Mau. . . I. . . I love. . . You. . ."
He gasped softly, snarling at the pain that seared through his face.

Loki snarled at Mau as the Chick turned to leave. Her neck fur bristled again as she pressed against Marley. Her fur spiked up even more as Mau spoke. "Half of this lot is mine. We're allowed to hunt near the border as long as we don't cross it, Mau." Loki hissed. Her voice was low, though, and she flattened her black ears.
Swiftly turning, she started guiding Marley away from the border, her tail stuck straight in the air. Loki gritted her teeth and winced as Marley started talking, his words catching in his mouth. "Marley," she meowed softly. "I love you too, but don't speak," Her tail lay over the Brutes' shoulders. "I need to treat you first. We need to get back to the gang, and I'll see to find some herbs that will make you feel better. You'll be okay, I know it." With that, Loki turned to stare straight ahead. "I'll go to the meadow and see if I can find something, okay?" Loki was determined to save Marley. She wasn't going to lose him.
